This article focused on ethical
issues in genomics. This include issues such as protecting individual data but remaining
open to investigators who will use this data in future. They have been able to
do this by, splitting the genomic data in to two parts whose information data
Is low enough not to put at stake confidentiality and integrity. The whole idea
is that one piece of the split data will never deliver enough information to
unveil a genomic sequence stored in the bank. The second method they are using
is managing of the banks which is organized along a block chain scheme that
would permit free access and permanent control on transfer of information
between the bank and the investigator. We know issues with private genomics involves
human data, and this is a good point to look at in safeguarding both
confidentiality and integrity.
