New cryptocurrencies could let you control and sell access to your DNA data

It is known that the Genomics companies sell people's DNA data to biomedical research businesses for their own financial gain.  These data are highly valuable to these research companies since they get access to a large dataset with variable genomes. New blockchain-based DNA marketplace is bringing solution to this concern by letting individuals have control over their own DNA data and sell them to researchers! As this is still in the early stages, this approach has variable challenges including the policy of accessing the data, pricing, privacy and security.
